2800CS Automatic transmission dip stick

Looking for help. I bought this 2 owner e9 10 months ago and have proceeded to improve an already spectacular survivor. The only thing I am missing is a dip stick for the transmission. The current one is a cut to fit from another BMW. Thank you in advance for your help.

I have the dipstick and the associated tube I pulled from my car. You may want them both as the dipstick moves easily in the tube I have.

I am pretty sure I pulled a ZF 3HP20 from my car, but would like to be sure I am offering you the right part. Here is a picture of my transmission. Compare the ribbing on the top, which should also be present on your transmission and which is not present on the BW65 and also the location of the electrical switch that illuminates the gear that is selected. On my transmission, it was located toward the front of the transmission just aft of the bell housing; on the BW it is located toward the rear of the transmission.

Can I get a picture of the dip stick and tube. I measure my tube and its 17 inches if that helps?
 
Sorry Bob to get your hopes up, but Chris' picture confirms that my transmission was not a ZF but was instead a BW65. My part won't fit your car.
 
I just gave away a bw auto trans with dipstick tube and stick. Look at pics in parts for sale under free m30. If looks same then ask bluecs.

I am confused? I have a ZF trans not BW. Am I missing something here?
