2800CS color question...

Considering my quest for a car of the original color I may have found one (71 2800CS) but it's Karmann plate seems to have been painted over or is missing...cannot be confrimed by present owner who is clueless?

Regarless, IS the original color stated anywhere else on the body besides on this plate, which I assume was always located in the driver's door jamb area?

There may be a sticker next to the VIN plate. Although if the car has been repainted it is probably gone.

Sven...I do belive I have seen that color sticker before...
IIRC it's directly below the BMW plate engine compartment?

If you send email to [email protected] and include the car's VIN#
Mr. Andreas Harz will provide you with the build date, deliver date and original color and paint code of the car.

Thanks Peter...this plate in the pic is an example that I showed the seller but he's determined to make this difficult and can't seem to find it...
Andreas will reply tomorrow with a definitive answer ....
