I just watched French Connection on AMC this weekend after many many years and I am sure there is a 2800 CS in the parking garage when the attendant drives the Lincoln up to the waiting customer, er, bad guy. I think this was a 1970 movie that's why I am calling it a 2800.

Steve, you just got my attention. Another interest of mine is Ford FE powered anything. Could that have been a 428 Cobra Jet engine in the boat. I am not aware of any of the 427 engines being called Cobra Jets. There were 429 Cobra Jets and 429 Boss engines also.

Built a 72 Mustang Olympic Sprint had A 351c 2v heads, took that out and built a 390fe in! Way much fun!
