Just bought a Korman rebuilt 3.0, pulling the head off tomorrow, will probably want to sell the 3.0 bottom end. Picture is of the engine number, think it came back as 3.0CS motor. Will have an idea of what is inside tomorrow.

$400 for the shortblock, located in NC

Thanks

Trying again…limited bandwidth here…block is blue. Bought the motor from a shop, advertised as Korman built , actually got the backstory from an article and found one of the previous owners on BAT. Block is blue…head was a 1980 casting which I though was a problem casting…not a Shrick cam, old style bottom bolt oil filter canister. Does have custom oil tube in head, light porting. Korman one piece intake with Italian built 45’s.

Pulling off the head today, hopefully will know more, also interested if anything stamped on front of cam…

It’s the intake port design and the coolant passage design that matter
The head date is secondary.
You need to measure the head.

Could be a nice head!

Pics!!

what i can tell you is the block comes from a 3.0cs and was owned in 1985 by John Mann in Crestwood, NY ... that's the only record i have on this number.

There was a Korman/Bell twin turbo engine on BAT, one of the people in the conversation was a guy who had Korman build a couple of engines for his Bavaria…I would guess this is the first one, built from a CS engine and switched in when he sent his original motor to be built. He knew his car/engine had ended up with who I bought it from…
