3.0 CSi emblem installation

Just purchased a new 3.0 emblem for my CSi. The car was purchased in the US and shipped to Australia. It seems the original ones were removed..and the 6 holes that fasten the pieces have bee in-filled. Has anyone drilled into the trunk before and can anyone suggest what's the best way to instrall these ie what gasket does one use under metal to avoid rust etc)

Not a lot of other CSi's around these parts to compare notes.

My emblems have been on and off several times. Currently they are attached by screws - three for the 3.0 and three for the CSi. If the holes were filled in hopefully no leaded or welded just body filler you may be able to easilly open them up.

Hi there - recommend you speak to Bill from Ajay Panels in Richmond Melbourne - has done some good work on my E9. Also there is a E9 run tentatively scheduled for Oct 16 you may want to hook up with .

Hi Matthew - not sure of the details yet - likely to be out the back of Melbourne..Mornington Peninsula - to a vineyard..last one was through the back roads to Apollo Bay and then home along the Great Ocean Rd - got the old girl to 105mph and there was still plenty more in her :lol: . Will post details when I find out more - it usually comes together(or falls apart) last minute

yep..I spoke to the guy and a mate checked it out..bought it and took it home ..ended up being a very tired 4 speed..so returned it , not sure about the diff..all sounded too good to be true.

back to that e3, i know the guy who bought it. he wants a lsd for a 30csi he is getting ready for targa tas. i have sugested to hold payment also it has to be transported to the gold coast. if you know any more about it let me know.

Hi Matthew - I didn't get too involved in the transaction between them - already have 5 speed - my friend picked it up drove it to the workshop and then drove it back for the reasons given - give me a call and I can put you in touch with him if you wish - no problems. Tony
