3.0 csi on fleabay

Rookie Questions...

Does that mean extreme is caution warranted, or that his representations may be relied upon?

i have said this before - i think the car looks quite good. its a CSi for a reasonable price. i own a car that came from Dan and i can tell you that its condition was very accurately described

with these cars there are always examples of hidden conditions that surface so some people might have other things to say - but my message is a positive experience. if this car had a/c and leather seats ... i would be selling my black coupe and be buying it. i like silver coupes

this car has been discussed on this forum, i think John Feng had some good things to say after reviewing the pix.

So, car sellers, what does it mean when a seller immediately relists a vehicle after the bidding on the previous auction does not meet the reserve? This one got to $31.1, but didn't sell.

Does the seller drop the reserve so that when the bidding gets over $31.1k the car will sell, or does the seller keep the same reserve and simply hope it goes higher?

Rerunning an auction after it doesn't meet reserve doesn't mean anything really, except that the Seller didn't get what they wanted for it the first time. Ebay auctions are all about timing. I've rerun parts over and over until one bidder buys and says, "I've been looking for one of these for a long time". Guess he wasn't looking the two months prior.

in this case, it looks like Dan has lowered the BIN price by around $2k.

What I have found many times is if you really want to buy a car on EBAY, the best thing to do is CALL the owner and negotiate a price....then he doesn't have to pay the EBAY fees for selling it there.....especially when it is relisted.....worth a try. And if you are really serious.....GO SEE THE CAR

i'm not in the market for another coupe right now. if i was, i would go see it.
on the other hand, i bought a coupe from Dan previously sight unseen - and i have no regrets.

Good idea, come look at and drive the car yourself. Flights aren't that pricey and I am only about an hour to an hour and a half drive from Denver International. I encourage whoever might be interested enough to come and check it out in northern Colorado.

I am a bit bewildered this car has not sold, maybe Scott (rsporsche) is right, no leather or air con spells a not as desirable car. Funny thing tho, people interested enough to call about the car have actually asked me why the car is so cheap!? Generally people who have talked to that Starr guy in NY with all the $70k cars. For anyone's info the reserve is $35k and its unlikely to go lower. If you want a clean, rustfree great driver that corners, brakes and drives really nicely this should be your car. Come see it, or call about it or send me your email address and I will send a comprehensive set of photos.

In Germany the velour seats are more common, and I think when properly done more elegant....sounds like a VERY fair price oft the car.....
