Hey guys

I am thinking about installing a 3.07 diff in my Bav 4 spd, the Bav has the old nut/bolt axel CV's....do I have to use the CV's from the later cars? I cant remember if the flange holes are the same size for the early and late side loader diffs

Thanks

Had that combination in my 71 3.0S. My 3.07 had treads instead of the original holes in the flanges but the CVs and its bolts worked fine on the 3.07, the bolts just went into the threads instead of the holes (I still put the nuts on additinally just to make sure).
The 3.07 is a good choice if you can´t find a 5speed and have to stick with the 4 (the 5speed is getting really scarce). Still plenty of pickup, if you want to drag you just hold the gears longer and it does lower cruising rpm improving mileage and noise levels.
Only annyoance is the speedo (which can be adjusted) and the odo (which can´t be adjusted)
