Hi guys
I am looking for some help/advice please.
I just took delivery of a box of parts from Wollothnesch
Unfortunately I seem to have ordered the incorrect parking brake cables ( my fault )
Anyway now that I have more time on my hands I need to order them again , correctly this time hopefully.
My old cable seems to have a stronger mounting
But the new ones look a lot lighter , am I supposed to order the support also when I am purchasing The cables ??

( the 4th photo shows what actually arrived, again it was my own mistake , I was supposed to order the ones for the 3.0 CSI )

I did the same thing, and it confused the hell out of me! The currently available cables don't include such a heavy duty external support, nor the pivot point for the handbrake shoes, so you need to buy a pair of the 34411115222 brackets as well.

Indeed, the original vs the Walloth part are different. Walloth has designed it so that it uses a seperate part, the support, mounted from the inside.
Left; original, right replacement cable from Walloth, missing the support; the steel block with the threads.

here it can be seen, mounted from the outside of the car through the dust shield, with the cable poking through it. The nuts are thus on the differential side.

It also fooled me.
