Hi Everyone,
Can someone please tell me the ID on the 3.3 liter crankshaft? The number that is engraved on it.
Thanks.

I don't think so.

3.0 crankshaft has a number on it ending with 420, and that number will not match the part number. Just like the camshaft that has its own numbers.

3.3 l, 3.3 li, 0r 3.2

Merdad,

Am I wrong to assume that you have a rather rare stroke 3.3L ( Bav.) that you need to identify by cast number? Or of the 32/34 variety.

Thanks for the clarification.:)

Yes, it is a 3,3L (1976) and need the cast number. We are assuming that someone before me has replaced the crank with a 3.0 , The cast number on the current crank ends with 420. I need the know the correct number in order to find the crank and put the correct pistons on it.

Thanks.

Thanks Michael,
Unfortunately it turns out that the engine with this crank number that was being dsicussed was a 3.0 liter.
I am hoping Carl can find the correct casting on the 3.3 liter engine.

Here i what I fund tonight on my car:
The block is original since it has the same numvber as my VN

Crankshaft has a casting # 12500420
Camshaft # 1250057.1 (what degree is this?)
Head is an 87 #1705784.9

Thanks,
Merdad

I have a 3.3 motor from a LIA sitting in my garage that I need to do something with if anyones interested.., was thinking of removing crank, pistons and journals and selling (or swopping) as sending an entire engine across the pond from Ireland would cost too much.

If you do tear it down, please give me the casting number on the crank.
Thanks.

3.3l

Beware that the 3.3L had a stroke of 88,4mm and the 3,3Li a stroke of 86mm.Gerrit
