I'm thoroughly enjoying the conversion process and working my way through each step. I've decided to keep my dual webers instead of fuel injection for a few reasons, but it leaves me wondering about the cooling system. Specifically how the original intake manifolds have coolant passing through them.

Although it's not as inefficient as say a crossflow Ford, I think we've learned that heating the intake air does reduce performance and may not be a good idea.

So, I may get a little creative with rerouting hot water to both the heater core and water chokes. Added complexity because the 3.5 doesn't have the port on the block like the 3.0 does.
Anyone have opinions on this? With or without sarcasm.

I put a B35 motor in an E3 with water heated chokes. I drilled and tapped a hole in the water jacket just above the starter, roughly in the same place as the B30 block. If you do this, put the starter in before you locate the site for the hole so you are assured that the hose will clear the starter.

I don't have chokes on my setup, but I live in a much warmer place than you do. I am running side drafts, and my car runs rough when first started. I like the simplicity.
