Thought some of you would find these pics from SSF interesting. The CSL that Henry Schmidt was going to bring didn't have race history (being a barnfind factory CSL tub) so wasn't accepted. Historical pedigree was a must for this event. There was only 1 Grp 2 CSL there. This 320I TAG turbo was awesome though. The was the same turbo driven by Hobbs and went tooth and nail with the Dekon Monza (pics included and incredibly fast!) The event is a must go. There was so much amazing stuff running. One of my favorites have long been the 512 BB LM's which I included for your viewing pleasure. Get your tickets for next year early.... Sorry if this is too far off base. Thought it may be interesting nonetheless...

This 320I TAG turbo is amazing
It looks like it has the same engine as the very famous MER sponsored car in sweden but without turbo

Nice

Thanks for posting these, tferrer. Those are awesome pics.

However... should we be concerned about having a Lotus mechanic working on a historical BMW? Will he try to lighten the car until it disintegrates?

PS: What is up with these Dekon Monzas??? They are always insanely loud and insanely fast. Maybe I was not paying attention to them but I don't remember them ever featuring in any significant race categories back then...
