I thought this car deserved its own thread. Thanks to Corvair Kid for posting in a discussion on C-pillar vent colors that Chris was inquiring about. This thing blew my mind. If it was a vintage 911 or 356 I wouldn't even know what it would go for at auction. I couldn't verify it but the Kid :-D says it went for $69K I think, right? Which may seem steep, but I think someone got a bargain if this truly is what they say it is. And I have no reason after looking at it (pictures only) to say otherwise.

I want to hear from you E9 guys as well, please chime in, not sure how many read the E3 stuff but..... What would you think an E9 would go for in identical shape and background?

Here is the link to the car: http://classicshowcase.com/index.php/inventory/detail/219

Yeah that's a mint state one, even has the nivomats. Looks good without the undercoating. The dots around date stamp on head signify month? Alot of 2800's showing up recently.

Amazing, would love that but you wouldn't dare to drive it. Wouldn't put me off owning it though.

Hey, I have something in common with that car!

haha. What a beautiful car, I think Tundra is my new favorite color.

Absolutely stunning find. even with its original "Frostschutz" from '69!!

Only one downside with this type of cars, you just can't drive them without ruining what makes them special as well as their value.

That being said would you even be able to drive such a cars? What happens to a cars mechanics when it never was driven for 47 years?
