For anyone not aware of it, you should check out G-Man's thread here in the "event" area of this site.

Hope its not impolitic to post event reminders here too, but since I almost never look at the event part of the site, thought this deserved a mention in general discussion for those that might miss it.
The Brisbane show is great for a relaxed afternoon of all things BMW from the '60's and '70's. $20 between 9-10AM for registration and a t-shirt. And unless I'm mistaken, you can show up and check it out for FREE if you just want to park in the parking lot and walk in. Not a bad deal and made better by the more coupes that show up.
Fun to be on the road with the '02 crowd too as you get close to the venue in the morning. Bring a picnic lunch and your sunscreen with you and be ready for the wind off the bay in the afternoon. I saw a couple people fishing for sharks off the shore next to their cars last time too. Thematic I guess.
Of course, I can't make it this year. Doh well.
Good times to all that do.
