There have been many threads on 5 speed changes and Coupe Kings transmission cross member is frequently praised, so must be good.
Is see it has a rear brace,
Is this to stop forward / rearward movement of the engine and transmission?
Or, just to very securely hold up the shift platform?

When fitted is this rear Coupe King support bolted right through into the transmission tunnel or just bolted into the shift platform?

I think SFDon recommends bolting through the shifter support into the transmission tunnel, perhaps this is instead of a rear brace, so I am sure that approach also works very well.

Any views on the benefits and possible disadvantages of both approaches, or a combination of Coupe Kings rear support and SFDons bolt right through the tunnel approach?

If there is a thread on this then apologies for missing it.

His support bolts to the shift platform to support it, otherwise you would bolt it to the tunnel. It is not for fore/aft movement.
