55k mile Chamonix 2800cs in socal

27 nice fotos, description claims 55k miles original, and states that the drivers door was repainted. Oddly, not one foto of that side of the car ?!?!

25 grand is a LOT of money for this car, even if the nice fotographs accurately reflect the condition of the car, and even if the drivers side is as nice as the fotos of the rest of the car

b.t.w. anyone see the M1 being offered for 350 grand??

Description states that the car has a sunroof. Am I the only one that doesn't see it? Otherwise the car looks clean and is located about 20 mins from my house.

It is Len's personal car and he bought it about 5 years ago, Murray knows Len and this coupe very well. He traded the wheels for it from Murray. It won't be selling for $25K, I will bet the reserve is closer to $35K. It is a very, very clean coupe and will make a new owner happy I think. Murray will chime in soon I am sure.

dp- nice catch on the lack of driver's side photos. I did notice, in the picture showing inside of the drivers door, it looks like the paint is flaking off to a darker color underneath.

Otherwise, it's looks like it's in outstanding original condition. It's a great looking car.

I can't view it here at work, but I think the driver's door jamb sticker had a 10/70 build date. This is a February 1971 build by the 2270550 VIN unless the VIN is wrong.

the left door brake looks broke too, is it "just me" or is the foto of the left door panel showing the door open at about a 90 degree angle?

Nice car. Only missing piece I see is the passenger side sun visor.

And advertised elsewhere for $40,995. And rumor has it that a certain former member of this site saw the ad and is interested. Hmmmmm.

Former member must have had a relapse of e9 fever. This is well known to be a chronic condition, that while treatable (i.e. buy an e9) is not curable and will universally relapse if patient does not have an e9. Attempts at substituting other models (e.g. e24, 911, etc.) for the e9 have failed to prevent relapse in all reported cases.

I have always thought the coupes (e9, e24) have looked best in darker colors (but then again inka, taiga, and silver look great too), but this is a very attractive coupe in chamonix and appears to well sorted. Might be a good example for the "by the best you can afford" approach in contrast to buying a $10K coupe that needs $25K of work.

The former member in this case never owned an e9 but was an expert in his own mind as he wasted many owner's time chasing coupes he would never buy.

Oh, no... Has the seller been informed that this individual is a faux buyer? He is definitely a professional shopper that doesn't know how to pull the trigger or hasn't the funds to actually get the job done. Time, he has plenty of... In my industry we call him a "stroke".

former member

Since I've had direct contact with this "former member" I will just quote" It ain't too cool being a jive turkey so close to Thanksgiving! Strickly a large serving of beef strokin-off will be on his menu this T Day for sure.

swapped a couple of e-mails with the seller requesting, twice, fotos of the left side of the car. First reply? "the seat, or the door?" Oh wait, that was the only reply???!

2800cs

This car is very close to my shop in Wilmington, and I am friendly with the Cormier family selling it, tho I have not seen the car in person. I would be available to do an inspection if some East coast or Rustbelt folks are interested. PM me at [email protected]
