635csi Drivetrain For Sale in Sacramento..

A friend just took apart an 84? euro 635csi with a good engine and 4spd. If anyone is looking for a good swap motor I'll ask him what he wants for it. I doubt it will be much.

I could use a spare. Could you find out what he wants? Surprised his 4 speed isn't a 5-speed. Does it say getrag 262 in the casting number on the driver's side of the trans? That would be the number for the 4speed, however, the five speeds used the 262 front housing on their early transmissions. Both my 1981 5 speed and my 84 633 5 speeeds have the 262 front case on them...just wondering. if he can verify it is actually a 4 speed, I may still be interested in the motor...Thanks.....

I was mistaken on the transmission, it is a 5spd OD (265). He said he'd take $500 for both or $300 each.

Do you know if the engine is still avail? Is it a 3.5L?

I bought it. It was a 1982 Euro 218 HP motor with non dogleg 5 speed O/D trans. May have both a 2.8 and a 3.0 motor available in the near future.
