My project for this winter is a 3 row radiator upgrade and 7 blade fan.
What models used the fan needed , and might anyone have one out there in coupeville. Have new fan clutch installed but forgot to add this item on the parts list
Help is always appreciated!
In reno the local pick and pull never has any older BMW's.

three row-seven blade-water pump-etc.

Good upgrade for your area--try Mesa Performance for correct parts needed--800-221-6372--ask for either Spence or Jim--they are very familiar with that set-up.

P.S--be sure the radiator people keep the thickness of the radiator as lean and clean as possible--try not to extend beyond where original backside of radiator resided due to critical clearance issues between that surface and the face of the new fan, etc. that can develop

You can often times find 7 blade fans with the viscous clutch still in good condition at junkyards. My suggestion is to use the late style water pump (5 series) which has the single threaded boss on the nose (to which the viscous clutch connects). You can get these at all the usual places, under 80 bucks if you use BavAutosport or BMP. If you want to go brand new all the way around, get a new viscous clutch at the same time. The later style H20 Pump gives you a little more clearance than you'd get with the adaptor kit for the early one.
