For those that don’t check BAT 10 times a day. Wonder if others know the car.

I wonder if @HB Chris knows of this car (or at least the seller).....
Looks to be a VERY nice example.
As noted above - I think it would service the sale of the car better if the 'studio' pictures were backed up by a selection with better (more telling) lighting to show the condition and quality of the body. But then again - Bling over substance I guess....
That being said - there were a couple of meaningful pictures showing the usual problem areas - and all looks very nice. Just wish more were available to show what is under the skin -so to speak.
As the owner of a car that was (originally very close build to this one) I am going to chime in on what I see and questions I have...
I wonder if the post on BaT will stand up - I will save a copy and post here if it goes away as 'not constructive' - free speech and all that....

Saw this when browsing on my once a week view.

Looks to be a really nice car done to the owners taste. Obviously not stock by any means but done well. Some things to my distaste but that’s a personal preference thing… like the BBS wheels… I hate those things.

Yes - the car looks (on the surface) to be a fairly nice example.

The fella who is representing it though... He is not doing you any real favors IMO....
I asked some pretty specific question but he glossed over most of them. There are other questions on the car I could ask - but will not as it is not worth it if what I have already asked are not being addressed.

Bottom line - Glamour pictures set in a 'decorative' studio setting do not help answer questions on the condition of the body when those particular features are washed out by the choice of background and over saturated lighting.

He says 'trust me' - the last time I heard that on a Coupe auction, the seller had jacked the car up by BOTH the oil pan and diff. That auction was a slow motion train wreck IMO.

FYI - your door seals are completely missing by the way. Why is the CS located to the left on the trunk lid? Where is the 2800?
Also - I won't get into a pissing contest on how an 'oil leak' is acceptable... None of my cars (including a 2002 and E9 now) have ever had an 'acceptable' oil leak in the 43 years I have had one of them. I also have totally dry garage floors. Even my 300,000 mile Mercedes had a completely dry floor under it.

From there - it does appear to be a decent car for someone who appreciates the choices made in what has been done.

Good luck with your auction.

I see a very nice car!
I like the white and gold accents much more then I'd thought I would.

I particularly would like to see, if I had the money to spare, some outdoor pics as they would offer a better view on the body lines through it's reflections.
I would guess they looks nice in reality, but such pics would make it easier to judge.

Personally checking the car out is indeed the best as the seller mentiones, but some BAT bidders just do not take the effort.
In other words, besides the nice indoor shots , some classy outdoor pics will get you a bigger market.

@HBe9 , Good luck with the sale, and hope you do get back to the e9/BMW community

Hey HBe9 - was it your friend that made the rear deck spoiler or the person selling the coupe, or are you one of the same? It's a little confusing because it says MotorSportRacer is a private party but with the picture and the presentation it seems like he is a dealer. Anyhow, all that doesn't really matter. Just wondering if the person that made the spoiler is selling them still, if so, I'm sure there are a few of us on here that would love his contact info. Please share if that is the case, or let him know there are some interested parties. It is a nice size and I always liked those type of deck lids. GLWS!
