'71 E9 in providence: $19K

Forgot to mention, my '71 is a 2800CS. When did the cutover happen again? This is listed as a CSI. Even of it was a 3.0, wouldn't it be a carbed CS?

The 3.0CS and CSi were available in Europe in '71 before US production of the 3.0CS began in Summer 1971 as a 1972 model here.

I think I saw this car at German Car Day or BMW Day at Larz Anderson 3 or 4 years ago. Looked pretty good then... Maybe DoubleDutch can go look at it

The car is actually located in Middletown RI, a suburb of Newport, not in Providence. The '74 CS I bought in May was from Portsmouth, about 10 miles north of Middletown RI

E9 in RI

Strange, I think he bought this car just 2 weeks ago.... if somebody wants me to go look and take pix let me know (keep in mind I am by no means an E9 expert!)

yes he posted a pic of it on the e9 Facebook page

Chris, was the 3.0 an option over the 2800 in 1971? My 71' 2800CS was delivered in Belgium.

I think this is Seth Redlich's car. He has two M6's, two e9's and a tii he is working on. I spoke to him yesterday.
