'73 3.0CS in the Los Angeles area.. parts car? $8k

looks pretty rough ... could be decent project, could be substantially more than anybody would want to take on. probably worth somebody taking a look at - 8k and possibly negotiable? not for me ...
if anybody calls / looks at it - send me the VIN

AC, original basket weave doorpanels without speaker holes. Nice.

And looking at the fender tops under the hood, I don't see that much rust poking through. It has quite some on the outside, but could that (just) be sun exposure, baking the paint off? (I'm in the Netherlands - Too wet: We don't have that kind of failures here typically.... )

If that area has just slight rust (needs a visit) then 8K may be a good start for a running fixer.

Spotted this in August when we were using this parking lot for crew parking. Thought about contacting someone in the building (couple other rusting badly stored BMWs there as well) but discretion was the better part of valor. Crusty is the key word.

That's the kind of rust you get from cool night condensation. If it's parked in a moist environment on clear nights the upward facing surfaces get cold and water condenses on those panels and runs down to the bottom edges of the hood and trunk lid where it sits and eventually rusts out. The real question is what do the floors and rockers look like. You could well have a lot of rust like you see here and the floors and rockers may not be that bad. Need more pics of the "usual suspects"...

Old school Enkei's. I used to have a set on my '85 Toyota Extra Cab 22RE 4x4. Not like those, but Enkei was big for a while. I'll take that front bumper but not worth buying the whole car. Just needs a little "buffing out" and you will be the envy of the local C&C...

The ad say's the floors were redone at some point so it could be a diamond in the rough. If you're not doing floors and rockers then a restoration gets a whole lot easier. Doors were probably worked on at the same time as they don't look bad. Hoods and trunk lids are consumables. Still likely going to have to dip and strip it just to see how bad it is and there's still a lot of work to get a real car out of it.
