Ya, beautiful E9, but these cars just has so much lurking; let's hope it's surface stuff only:

" Corrosion and dents were repaired on the floor panels in June 2022 by Mark Faltus Auto Body of Tampa..."

Floor panels doesn't look like 6 month old work to me. Hmm...

To clarify (I am seller) -i had repaired the area you can see now sealed in bottom left of photo - someone had previously lifted the car on the round access point and bent it and rusted it - so it was taken out - straighten, refitted and sealed. I was thinking about resealing the entire bottom of car but felt it better to keep as is so people can see condition. There is surface corrosion, but it is not structural.

I realize is Christmas weekend, but welcome anyone near Tampa to come take a look, the coupe is well cared for and in good condition. Could it be taken to another level yes, but for a solid driver in good condition with many original features (except the 5 speed) this car fits that bill.

I worked on the issues that needed doing when I bought it (brakes, driveshaft seal, power steering, some body work). There is nothing major at this point in terms of systems and body work that I am aware of. It has been well preserved since its last major body (down to metal) and engine rebuild overhaul in the 80's. Although it is an obvious change, having a great 5 speed is a really good thing in these cars.

Thanks Rob! I like the color of yours to! I didn't buy the coupe as an investment and spent coin on getting it to a good spot mechanically AND recognize is softening market... so will see. It's a great car and have loved owning it, but a toddler dictates my next classic BMW needs four doors so that's the direction I am heading.

Its cool this car is linked to Ron Wakefield. Ron is a great guy and we have become friends through my purchase of his original E9. He loves Neil's car and to him it is "the one that got away" that he regrets...he never has said he regrets mine getting away by the way!
