Hello,
I was talking to another German, regarding a E9 Coupe and then btw he told me, that he has a '73 2002 Touring Alpina for sale.
I know, that there are quite a number of European members here on that forum and maybe one of them might be interested.
The car is located in Germany. Five years ago, the car got completely restored and painted in its original color Chamonix. It got a new rear axle, new Weber carburetors, new drive shafts, new wheel brake cylinders, and new other stuff. It has a 5-speed manual and 45.000km on the clock.
So, that's about all I know about that car.
If somebody is interested, drop me a private note and I give you the guy's contact so you can deal with him directly. Due to his age, he wants to reduce his collection and is asking 40.000 € for that car.

Nik

Lutz (the owner) said, that back in 73 Alpina did not make cars but sold kits.
This Touring got one of those kits with a 1980cc motor producing 125 - 130hp. The kit got installed by a 02 specialist.
All the changes are documented and entered in the title (Briefeintragungen)

Are you sure it's a 2002? The license plate says 1802. Those numbers were choosen by the owner. In other words, is it an engine swapped 1802?

no, I’m not sure. You might be right that this car started life as a 1802

@NFK - "Guten Morgen" as we say here in Idaho....you may want to talk to your buddy and tell him putting some fiberglass flares, an Alpina badge, some aftermarket side drafts and a sticker on a valve cover does not make a 1800 Touring an Alpina A1. It has a long way to go to get there. Your first flag should have been the asking price.

Nice looking car however, I do like it...but your friend sounds like he is a half a bubble off plumb. That won't translate well but I think you know what I mean. Prost!

Edit, I thought I mentioned it on here but it was my buddy I was talking to. It may well have an Alpina cam. If you are seriously looking at buying this, you would want to take tferrer's advice and get documentation. Unless you are going to crack the motor. It's hard to see full interior and limited pics but nothing to me is screaming this is a complete A1. It looks like a lot of bits are missing. Just be careful and do your homework is all I am saying. It's definitely cool looking. Even the Chamonix seems a bit off, but could be the lighting. Have fun, motor on....
