73 Werk Shop resto in Hemmings

Yup, Prius and their ilk. And my research says NO coupe was ever born with window shades. Came on later series cars. Correct me if I am wrong.

I once owned a Euro '74 (actually NC titled as a '75) with these shades, and they appeared to have been there for a very long time as did the matching blue/gray carpet on the hat rack that appeared to be original. FWIW & Merry Christmas to all! RB

My rear shade on my 1986 635CSi is one large shade, not too small ones. Plus it fits into the rear deck cover behind the head rests, it doesn't mount onto the top.

I did talk to this guy in the Spring, it seems like a decent car though I just think it is way too much money, and the fact that 8 months later, it is still for sale speaks volume.

Euro spec? It has a US VIN with US front bumper guards! Rear window shades are from an e24.

Also has the dumb fasten seat belts light on top of the dash.

Yet sold new in Italy.

Has to be a story there somewhere about how a US car was sold new in Italy and then stayed there for over a decade. Maybe a serviceman bought it and then changed his mind about bringing it back home?

No rear fog light, the mirror is in the US location, console is in English point to US car. The speedo is in km though. But what does Euro spec really mean when it has a new engine? Would one in 2004 have been able to get a new Euro/higher compression engine in the US?

The resto plaque by the restorer is a nice touch.

Don Lawrence should have them for any job bigger than an oil change...
