From a resale standpoint, I wouldn't spend $13K on a car with a rebuilt title. The car can be perfect, but that title will always keep the value lower than a clean title.

From what is visible from the pics, it appears to be a nice car overall.

Following up on Markos' comment, the tail lights on it are pre '72 year model.

Curious that ad has no interior pictures.

Other than paint and weatherstripping, it seems that the bulk of the $16K in "Restoration" was for maintenance items. Am I missing something?

Can you guys share the meaning of "rebuilt" title for us east coast guys? Same as "salvaged title" I assume? Cars can fall into "salvaged" here if the damage exceeds the book value which is not hard to do with this car and not accurate.....luckily Hagerty etc exists.

Why not do what the vultures do after a hurricane. Buy the flood damaged cars with salvage titles, scrub them through three or four states that have lax title laws and BINGO, you have a clear, clean title to go with your beauty.

I am not suggesting this seller do this. It is illegal and unethical. But it happens all the time and buyers are fooled.

Even better. Someone was buying my wife's old CJ 7 (cheap money, rusted out), really interested in title which is not needed in MA for a car this old, and also intact dash. He mentioned he had a beautiful CJ with a salvaged title. I then realized he wanted my wife's car to swap out dashes with his car to have our vin and intact title ....i didn't return any calls from him after that.

Maybe I am blind. Where is the reference to salvage title? Is it implied by the fact that it has new registration and plates? The"fully insurance" comment?
