Saw the car in person today. A 1974 U.S. coupe converted to chrome bumpers. Has a sunroof and 4spd manual. Decent Fjord paint thru out including engine area and trunk. Has tool kit with most tools but cracking at mounting points. Relatively rust free. Some minor bubbling just aft of the sunroof area on roof and on driver side rear quarter. Newish leather seats front and rear but wrong pattern.....from earlier year vs. typical 1974 pattern. A decent "driver" coupe. I did not drive the car. Dealer does not know much about the history. It is a consignment car. Owner apparently does not know much about it either. No service history. Did not get a warm and fuzzy feeling about this car though it may be perfectly fine. Strongly recommend if someone wants this one to take to a BMW specialist in San Rafael for a thorough going over. I can recommend a couple of decent shops if someone wants.
