As I was removing the diving boards on my car, I was greeted with an unpleasant surprise. This car is mostly rust free. But the rubber bumper end on the driver side had let moisture accumulate between it and the sheet metal, just bad enough to allow rust to start. It's only surface but it definitely needs attention.
Now to be fair to Karman, this car was repainted and with a color change. So I suspect that the guys who reinstalled the bumpers did not attach it properly. They probably also did not properly rust prof that area before spraying. But this means that if you still have yours on, it might be good to check and make sure everything is cool under there. Especially if it the bumper side was ever removed.
