Hi Everyone. Looking for the '74 front bumper shock absorber (pn 51111826692) and rubber block (pn 51111830678). Doing a conversion to '73 bumper and accidentally discarded those parts not realizing that I needed them.

not sure that you would need any of the 74 parts to go to a chrome bumper - radically different mounting scenario. so here's the question, US 73 (2.5 mph) bumpers or euro 73 bumper (which is the same for all 69 to 72 coupes).

i would try to stay away from the USA 73 bumper since some of the specific parts are hard to find. if you need the mounting brackets, i believe our friend @alprada70 makes them (and his products are first rate). the euro / early US chrome bumper brackets mount to the frame rails.

Darn! I've had a spare set of those for over 20 years. As rsporshe points out - why do you think you need them -
are you thinking of mounting the chrome bumper to the (much higher) bumper shocks?

Gentlemen, thank you so much for your responses. I found out that indeed the bumpers that I purchased from Coupe King a few years ago for this project and now I'm getting to it, already has the correct bracket installed on them :D

I should have checked it first before posting this :(

no worries, its always a learning experience. at least you didn't buy something that you don't / won't need.
