Hi all, as some of you know I came pretty close to being stranded a couple hundred miles from home because of a severe tire shredding incident. A quick look at other coupes left me with the impression that the tire profile was the most important factor in clearing the fender (I know of a lowered car with the same size tires of a different make that does not rub). So my questions are for those of you with 7x16 et11 front wheels:
1) what tires -model and size- do you have?
2) do the tires rub? if so, under what conditions?
3) is the car lowered? and
4) are your fenders rolled?
5) did you resort to extreme camber or toe-in?
THanks!

Travelling right now but think mine are:

205 55 R16 Avon - high perf all seasons
No rub any conditions
ST lowering springs - close to LaJolla kit height
Fenders rolled
IE camber plates - 1/2 - 3/4 degree fixed

No Rubbing

1. Continental Extreme Contact DWS, 205/55 - 16
2. Tires have never rubbed.
3. Carl Nelson springs and two-dot spring pads. USA federal spacers removed. (So, yes, a little bit lowered.);
4. Fenders are rolled.
5. No camber or toe adjustments.

Alpina 7 x 16 wheels on front (et11 I think)
Continental Extreme Contact DW , 205/55 - 16
Removed strut top spacer
Carl Nelson Camber Plates
Carl Nelson Springs
Stock shocks and sway bars (next to change)

Had to roll the fenders to prevent rubbing. Did not think it needed it at first, but after a couple of pot holes I notices chunks of rubber missing off the corner of the tire.... and once sliced a thin strip mostly off, but continued to bang on the wheel well until I stopped and pulled it off.

Still well worth the effort.
