$90k Polaris on Ebay

Is it possible to get 300 hp from the original engine?

It is possible, but this car isn’t anywhere close to 300hp. A 300hp motor starting from a 3.0 block would be race-only. Very few people take a normally aspirated street-driven 3.5L to 300hp, let alone a 3.0.

Metric Mechanic bores to 3.7L with higher comp pistons to get 285hp and who knows what else. The eBay ad is deceiving.

Not arguing, just elaborating. :)

3.7L makes sense for a 3.5 core. I’m fairly certain that you can’t bore a 3.0 to 3.5+, and you also can’t stroke it all that much. The 3.0 does not have recesses in the block to account for the connecting rod clearance. You can machine the block a bit but not much. As mentioned, there are/were 3.0 race motors running 300hp+.

Long stroke reliefs cast into 3.3L+ blocks:

In ‘72 the Schnitzer green monster was running a 3020cc m30 with 290HP on mechanical injection and a slide throttle. It wasn’t street legal.

If Korman had the car "from top to bottom", they are probably losing money at $89.9K...
I doubt that Korman did a "top to bottom" on this car considering the expense the PO of my car spent on the Korman stage 2 engine with the 3 DCOE 40 Webers.
This might have the Stage 4 engine that Montgomery Scott added the dilithium crystals in those carbs to pump out "around 300HP"......
