A/C unit for 1972 csi

I attended the classic BMW show today in N.C. and spoke to a cs owner who indicated he put an A/C unit in his e9 that works well and cost only around $900 installed. I believe he indicated the name of the system is Carr. Does anybody know of this system, or any other system that may work well in the e9 csi? I did a google search in CARR and found nothing. Where can I locate this or another?
