Put on your "Lederhosen", reserve your "Stammtisch" and prepare for an interesting day in Munich - the Auction October, 1st:

http://www.bonhams.com/eur/carsbmwpreview/#

So far, three lots with CSLs (race + carb + non-bat injection). The black one is from the 2275-VIN range but not a real bat. However, from this serie there is only one CSL in "Schwarz" built.

Could be this one.

Cheers

The black one looks very much like 2275401, which started its life in Fjordblau if my notes are correct.

2275401 was for sale in California (grandprixclassics.com) several years ago.
More recently, maybe 3 years ago, it was for sale in France (autmobilia.fr) .

It was first sold in america, then by franco lembo!! ...

This car was also on bmw Magazine world no. 65 in the year 2005!

I have a copy of it! :)

2275401 vs 2275351

Marc,

2275401 is the correct CSL at the Auction. However, there is another Schwarz CSL in that VIN-series. Namely CSL 2275351. It was sold new in Italy but exported to USA and was previously Fjord.

I'm still not sure about 2275401, if it was Schwarz from factory or not?

Cheers

I cannot remember for sure where I got the information about the original color.

But it is very likely first hand, from a previous owner which I met about three years ago at a car exhibition.

Thx for the info. Then, most likely both 2275401 and 2275351 are not the unique "Schwarz-from factory" CSL from that VIN range.
