The new rules start soon - get ready.

A minimum six-digit Harmonized System (HS) and a EORI

March 1, 2023

Beginning March 1, 2023, all goods being shipped into or transiting through the EU*, Northern Ireland, Norway and Switzerland by air will need to have:

Checkmark

A minimum six-digit Harmonized System (HS) code for each item in the shipment
Checkmark

Accurate goods description for each item in the shipment
Checkmark

The receiver's Economic Operator Registration and Identification (EORI) number.

These rules apply to all goods (except documents), regardless of value.

Not that it matters. I have one box to send to @Aussiecsi then In never shipping anything overseas again. :D

From our experience "harmonized" means that from now on all the shipments will be treated equally bad.

Presumably goods I buy from the EU have to pass through at least some part of the EU to get to the USA, so it looks like I need an EORI to buy things from a seller in the EU. Is this right?
