Abandoned BMW Dealership

Super cool! Wonder what kind of parts are still left in their inventory.

Three or four years ago, I got a call from a kid the that worked at our local BMW dealership. He had a brand new e9 taillight still in the wrapper and wondered if I wanted to buy it. The dealership was doing inventory and found it, nobody but that kid knew what car it was for. They just gave it to him. He made some beer and pizza money off of me.

That would be an awesome pizza... and VERY good beer. LOL

Years and years ago - when I was getting parts at the dealer for my 2002... More than once when I was asked what car I was looking for parts for and I replied "2002", I'd get the resoponse... "OK, what model?? 3 series, 5?..." Doesn't surprise me that they had no idea of a part for a 50 year old car.....

I propose we put together a partnership, buy the building and restore the cars. What do you say?

I looked at that E3 in the video. Described as a "rust bucket" but that is not unusual. Thing that got me was, the front bumpers really suited the car. Are they different, perhaps, compared to the North American bumpers? I am aware that the later cars wore the "diving boards" but the ones on this Spanish car, well, seemed better integrated onto the body. Perhaps just the angle of the photography.
