Spent a couple hours trying to get the auxiliary AC condenser fan to install. This was removed 25 years ago so there are no photos of how it was fastened to the body. I tried every conceivable hole as shown in the attached, reviewed the blue manual, and decided to reach out for help.

Please review the attachment and advise if I have something assembled incorrectly as (if I am using the correct body mounting holes) the fan sit too far forward and hits the body nose. There are a lot of holes as shown.

Please advise.

It would be good if you could add your car model and year in your signature so we can figure out which system was used for that year.
IIRC, on mine (a '74) the fan was attached to the condenser.

I have a '72 and happen to have my front grills off for cleaning:

mine is mounted in a '72 CSA but it looks to me that there are 2 brackets that mount at approximately 2 and 10 o'clock. Then there is a mount at 6 o'clock. Don't know if this was ever the way your fan was situated, but it may give you some ideas. Photos attached :

Had to grind or file the head on the screw to fit in the clip. Easy work with a cordless drill and file. Worked perfect.

Mine is the same as Steve's.
One thing to notice is that the mounts have one slotted hole on each side.
This is to allow the fan to tilt forward so the fan blade does NOT hit the front edge of your hood when it is open.
Would only happen if you were running AC and had hood open. Or may be triggered by thermal switch if radiator was hot.

This is great detail my aux fan was in a crash some years ago and the tubular mounting bracket was deformed which led to my post. The photos and advice has allowed me to get it mounted properly now to check the tilt - lots of detail to consider THANKS ALL!
