I owned coupes for years. Sold off parts from two CSis at what today would bargain prices but were fair at the time. Sold my last coupe a couple of years ago and recently purchased a lovely, Agave 72 Bavaria. In the course of replacing the "modern radio" with a Blaupunkt Frankfurt the AC faceplate turned out to badly butchered.
Put up a WTB post here at 10 AM, by that evening I had four offers. One with German lettering! Ended up with a perfect faceplate, only original dealer holes, for $50.00 plus shipping. The most expensive of the four barely broke $100.00, I won't bore you with another example for taillights. Trust me, same price differential.
How easy would it have been for BMW to make so many matching parts for the coupes and Bavarias. If you have read this far and know why they didn't I would love to know.
