Accessing carb mount nuts

Access to the carb-to-manifold mounting nut nearest the starter looks difficult. Removing the intake manifold with carb in place as an alternative would appear to have the same access problem. What do you all do to remove the carbies?

A ratcheting box wrench is good otherwise just a box wrench and remove carb first.
