I am doing a major overhaul inside a door. Everything but the chrome window frame is out.
I notice an adjustable L shaped stopper? mounted just below the black plate with the wooden panel, about mid way between door end and front window frame.

Is this a second stopper for the window adjustment, to be aligned with the rubber stop on the winding mechanism....?

To avoid the window going too high...? Should therefore be adjusted from inside with window up and door properly shut.

Anybody been doing this work recently?

I think you have found the upper height adjustment. I fiddled with this adjustment last spring on my 74 coupe, with electric windows, in order to reduce the gap between the top of the window chrome strip and the roof jamb. Easy fix once you take the door apart and observe how the window operates....

Anybody have a part number for these? I got a rec to glue bicycle tire to the end, but would like to purchase the proper part now that the whole door is exposed. Also would like to purchase new plastic barrier for behind the door card, the door handle grommets, and the new clips to reattach door panel.

Anything else I am missing that should be addressed?

The rear ones are still available and work in the fronts, it's part #51378545198 and needs a hex nut. The front part # is 51331837518 and has a spring. I made one of these by drilling a hole in the rubber and gluing in 2 different sized springs to make one stiff one because I had a sticky window at the top. I used a thick contractors leaf bag as the vapor barrier.

Any leads on the least expensive source for the 51378545198 bump stop? The lowest I've found is $6.30 per, but they want almost $17 for shipping.

Better yet, has anyone found a suitable replacement at a hardware store? Nothing close at the three I've checked.
