Advice need for mounting number badges

I'm ready to mount my 2000 CS trunk badges and wondered what the best way to do it is. They aren't exactly mint (especially the "2") so I'd like to be so I'd like to be able to upgrade them if I find better ones. Thanks.

Steel wool grade 0000 can yo a wonderful job on those!

+ 1 Fine steel wool, some polish by hand or with a Dremel and they'll sparkle.

BMW sells grommets or use speed nuts or speed clips available at auto parts stores. They should clip to the studs and hold the badges tight.

My trick for them

I made a thread on the little aluminium cilinders at the back that stick through the body, and then a washer and nut from the inside.

This also makes it easier to get the areas superclean between the letters. just unbolt, clean, and reinstall.
