I just noticed BMW seems to now have all key parts available for sale online to make up a brand new OEM rear bumper for a 3.0CS.

Last time I looked many of the bumper parts were NLA but now they have part numbers and pricing. Is my understanding correct that now I can actually order a complete rear bumper set up OEM from BMW parts? Has anyone ordered this full rear bumper set up as new OEM lately?

Seems a bit too good to be true so am I missing something here?

last time i looked, the total cost for both bumpers was around 4k usd for all of the metal, rubber and mounting pieces. you will notice that the (10) piece - cover trim where the 2 pieces of the rear join as well as the chrome underriders are NLA. if you add up the rear pieces that are available, you are at 1650 +/-.

I plan to order the full rear bumper parts from BMW, however it is annoying that the rear join cover (10) is NLA. And wondering what to do if I have everything except for part 10. Will look ugly without this i think.

you can take your existing one and rechrome it. don't use one of the stainless steel ones as the color will not match. so what are you going to do about the rear under-riders? leave them off? i checked W+N, they no longer have them listed on their site either

now for one thing you need to verify ... back up lights. do you have the ones mounted on the rear panel or on the bumper? my guess is this one does not have the holes in the bumper for the bumper mounted lights.

okay - good to know ... so hopefully that means that the bumpers sold by a US dealer (like BMW of S. Atlanta) on Mal's post has holes in the bumper.

Hello folks
I pulled all numbers from the real OEM and spent some time with my part guy at the BMW dealer in edmond Oklahoma. He looked up all items on my list along with bumper parts. Some parts came from USA warehouse but the rear bumpers came from Germany . Although they were in brand new box and sticker inside sealed plastic they had very faint but noticeable pitting on them . I took them to my chrome shop and he said he can easily buff it and re-dip it. I am waiting to get them back soon.
Rumors are that BMW is starting to make some of the old NLA parts. In short the only rear bumper parts I found were left and right pieces. The center-joint band, is a piece I have to find or have to fabricate it.
I would be Intrested to know if anyone can order more than I did .
Best of luck

I have the mounting parts and licence plate lights already, since I have a lightweight bumper on at the moment, hopefully the existing parts are interchangeable.
Shame BMW don't yet make part 10 or the under-riders, so will need to source these separately somehow.

you can install the bumper without the under-riders and in your case with a CSL, if it doesn't have the holes for the under-rider ... you probably do not want to drill them in the lower valance. the trim strip is a different issue, unfortunately i sold my spare last year.
