Advice painting car

I know many of you have had your E9 painted and would like to get as much advice as I can. I have at last found a painter within my budget that can do a quality job. My paint is in good shape except one problem issue at the C Pillar rear window. I have decided since I am having that done to have the entire car painted, reflector delete and get rid of the two-tone. This job will be a tear down prep and repaint. Would like any input on pitfalls and thing I should replace while I am doing it. All advice is welcome
