Again with the Slave Clutch removal

I'm having a heck of a time removing the slave clutch from my 2800cs. In the image below, is removal of #2 required? If so, how.

I can't seem to get my clutch to move what-so-ever (assuming it is removed by pushing toward the front of the car after removing the lock rings)

I'm betting it's just grown very attached to the tranny case...

Give it a soak with PB Blaster or the like, maybe a little heat, and go at it with a block of wood and a hammer.

Yeah, I had to give mine a little "help" using a hammer after I removed the stupid circlip. I friggin' hate those things! They are always a huge hassle to remove.

I'll give it another go. Just another reason for me to start working out I guess.
