Very annoying: a few months ago, I removed the side panels to the central console, unbolted the central heating box just enough to replace the 2 bulbs illuminating the text by the levers. I also checked the wire clips that hold the surrounds to the lever wires.
Yesterday, the main air intake, (Luft-Zu on Euro cars) lever wouldn´t open. Through the glove box, I can push the metal arm using a long and bent pair of pliers to open it. The lever will close it but not open it.
I will now have to remove the side panels again and see if the clip has come off, which it hadn´t when I was changing the light bulbs. I cannot hear a loose clip and wonder if something is wrong at the other end (visible through the glove box) ???
