After 12 years of ownership, I finally had Mario add the front bumper back to my Coupe after shamelessly copying Balaban's "brown bomb" years ago. No more boy racer front end for me :(.

Picked it up yesterday. Have a look here for a couple of pics and look past the hideous front license plate. May have to yank that back off.

I love the new face! The aggressive bumper-less look was cool, I liked it, but the street-sports look suits your car really well Tod.
 
Is there a colour these cars look bad in? Certainly not Blue. Great looking Coupe.
 
It looked great before and it looks even better now!

Did you have to modify/trim the spoiler to get sides of the bumber to mount to the fenders?

No worries ... your coupe looks fantastic and the stance still looks aggressive, but classy. Nice job from Mario...it looks factory stock.

Think of it as a preppy kid who decides to tuck in his Oxford shirt, because he's about to ask the best looking gal in school out on a date....:))

color question

Hi Tod,

Yes, stunning! Am I correct in that that color is 040 Midnight Blue? My car is going in for paint on Saturday (I should say paint and some body work) and I chose the color above and hope it comes out looking like yours!

OK, that hits a nerve. For 20 years, I would not buy BMWs because of the perceived connection to said preppies - they had BEEMER or BEAMER for a license plates and wore their collar up on their Izod/polo shirts in the 80s. Hated them and everything they stood for and I went to prep school.

Despite that, I think I got the best looking gal although to this day I still cannot figure out how. Definitely married up.

And growing up looks better tha running around "bumperless"--of course its OK to still leave your shirtail out.
