Hi,

Is there anyone on the Monterey peninsula that can help me with the install of my Alpina steering wheel. I've had the wheel for a while but lack tools (and some confidence) to do it myself. Beers and appreciation will be on me.

Is there a Monterey near DC or you are in California?

I have the tools here in Cupertino which is not really that close but an Alpina wheel is worth a trip.

Arde,

I need to update my profile, I am in Monterey, CA now, which is not that far from you. Would you be available this weekend?

Walter

Sure, still waiting to see which day is best. Do you have picture of what are about to install so I make sure I have everything. For the stock wheel all I need is the 22 socket.
Are you trying to do anything special with hub, marker cancelation, or horn ring?

A.

I have a momo hub and a Alpina horn button. I hope to keep everything other than the hub and wheel stock if possible.

Walter, this week-end is not looking good, could do the following one.

Mine was filling up fast too. Next week sounds good,

Walter, if the you still need help with the install I would like to start 2012 by keeping my promises... Week-ends look good.

Even if you don't need help I just bought a fresh batch of Illy ground coffee.
Oh, and I also brought some interesting olive oil that a friend makes in Uruguay. It is so good I bet it could make my Getrag 265 shift smoother.

Arde,

Thanks for the offer. I took it to a shop and had it mounted in conjunction with some other work I had done. It looks awesome and because it sits closer to me than the factory steering wheel, I am in a better driving position which make it feel like a performance upgrade too.
