Hello all! I purchased an Alpina spoiler from Coupe King and had it painted. Now that I'm ready to install it, I'm contemplating the best option...

What are the best mounting options and why? Thanks all...

Are those available again? That is exactly what I had on my Golf Bavaria. That 5-ball logo is very special to Erik.

Is that 5-ball sticker embedded in the glass on the reverse side?

I checked his website and didn't see it on there. You can check out my build thread https://e9coupe.com/forum/threads/73-golf-bavaria-build-thread.18583/

Page 5 & 6 may help a bit, I realize E3 vs. E9. They fit the Bavaria great, I love the look. It "lightens" the car looks wise, especially the Bavaria with the 4-doors. Great find!

What type of screws and what is the black strip?

Campo, I wish I could remember. Somebody on here wilI know if not ask Carl @ La Jolla Independent, he will know what both are. Some simple rubber weatherstipping, kind of a harder rubber, just sandwiches in between (if I can recall right). I had to have that spoiler/air dam fixed like 10 times from taking driveways the wrong way or simply driving bad roads. The screws are kind of a finish screw with a big head that is meant to go from fiberglass to the metal on the car. Never had a problem with them coming out. EDIT: as I recall they are just a sheet metal type of screw, I don't think there was a nut on the back. Only nut here is me.

You may want to call Jim at Mesa Performance in Costa Mesa, CA. He should know too. EDIT: And what Keshav said, it is more of a black rubber "piping." I recall slipping it over the top of the air dam and it would pinch down, then put it on. Initially you will need to use some painters tape or something to hold it on, get it properly aligned and in place to drill the holes.
