Maybe they are too expensive.
We'll see.

I sold a set in very poor condition for 500€ a few months ago.

this is probably not the right place for this question, but...

not trying to hijack the thread, but it seems to me that many of the Alpina wheels in Europe do not have black centers. Since I don't see this in 'merica, was this a Euro-specific thing by Alpina? or a recent trend among restorers? Just curious.

No! All open lug Alpinas had the black centers. My take on this is that painting the entire rim silver is just an easier process. No need to deal with painting the rim centers black.
