An episode of Unsolved CSL Mysteries?

Am I wrong? Weren't all CSL's a derivative of the CSi's thus fuel injected? I am no expert but I thought I had read that some place...
if someone more knowledgable can confirm or correct me I'd like to know.

it ain't a csL + nor is it a 1974. according to the e9 register, there were 169 carb'd CSL cars made in 1971 which were part of the vin 221 series. the last one was 2212480 ... this one is 2213744 ... so it was made sometime before 12/1972 and was a european delivery car.

The VIN 2213774 belongs to a BMW 3.0 CS (not a CSL) built on July 9th, 1973 and delivered on July 12th, 1973 to France. The original colour was Chamonix, paint code 085.

Losing metal through oxidation does not earn you a Lightweight designation.

To my eye that rust is terminal.
