Another '71 2800CS - $11,000

Wow, talk about half assed sales presentation. Anyway, I got mine through an Ad on that site, it was Silver and worked out well. The Young Lady looks happy to be sitting in it. Might be a keeper.

Seller says it has definite rust issues and the leather is shot, but I'm going to see it anyway. Will report back here with more info. A bit high for my budget from the description, but maybe I can help shed some light on the car for others who may be interested.

I live close by and have contacted the seller and got three very limited pictures of the car. A shot of the outside of the trunk, picture of the tool box and inside of driver's door with a tear in the arm rest. He has not answered my inquiries to see the car. I would like to see it and if it is a nice car with potential to improve and/or restore, I am a buyer. Hope he gets back to me... If I am able to check it out, will let everyone know what I find out.

I spoke with the owner just now. Sounds like it can be driven as is, but the car is very tired. Tires are shot, as is interior, paint, rust bubbling in all the usual places, mechanicals (engine, tranny and likely much more) needs rebuilding. With that said, it is a CA blue plate car with a sunroof and manual transmission. He's asking $11,000 with bottom line of $10,000. Sounds like a good base car to work off of to do a complete restoration, which when you are done, will cost quite a bit for the needs that the car has. I have not seen it yet and not sure if I'm into it enough to visit it at the price he wants. I guess I would rather some of the work be done already vs. having to experience the huge sucking sound when I open my wallet.....
