He says he is going to remove bumpers and replace with 1974 style. Why oh why?

Probably knows the early bumpers are worth half the price of the car...

Very true! Almost certain that this is a 73 US car with its unique model year front and rear bumpers. This is so stupid... how is the 74 bumper set supposed to be installed without major body modifications? Has the chromed to the 74 US bumper conversion ever been done and the most important question...why oh why?

I would guess that someone local offered the seller $$$$$$ to exchange the '73's chrome bumpers for his worthless '74 boat anchors. The seller is hoping that prospective buyers don't understand that '74 bumpers won't begin to fit a '73, and that you wouldn't want to install them even if they did fit.

You have to wonder what other parts have been plundered off this car prior to sale.

I dunno, the wording on the bumpers was strange, maybe he was meaning to include the barge bumpers with the sale for the extra value ??? Seriously the car was neglected and out doors for a while. Yet, the shock tower area and fender seams looked pretty good. Floors, rockers, trunk and rear shock towers....who knows? May have been a good starting point for a soon to be junky.
