Hi Folks, I really tried to use the schematics so I would not have to ask this question but does anyone know where these two plugs go??

thanks!

1974, solid green, solid grey, solid brown on the rt. side plug (upper)
solid brown X2 , solid grey, brown with green stripe on lower plug

If everything works while disconnected they may be seatbelt warning buzzer related, those particular wires aren't in the diagrams.

Thanks Chris, yes- everything seems to work, they just looked like they should go somewhere but maybe not- It's been a while since I took it apart...

I have a couple more questions; first- how do I snake the temp wire into the dash?? (pic. 1)
Next, can anyone tell me where the wires should be positioned on this switch? (pic 2)
Last, is there an easy way to test the electric fan that pushes the A/C?wires1.jpg

Peter,

By temp wire do you mean the metal capillary tube? There is a tiny hole in the plastic box which contains the evaporator. Be sure it is inserted before you assemble everything in front of it. I’m going to call you.

I talked to Peter and sent this pic. 74 switch on left with four wires, earlier switches on right. Didn’t have a four terminal plug but easy to figure out now. 74 doesn’t have a separate changeover relay to disable heater fan, it’s part of the switch.

Peter - you can test the fan on a bench with a pair of leads to the battery. When I was helping my buddy Tom sell his garage full of parts, we tested the pile of them he had on hand.
